AFJROTC - Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps

In JROTC Aerospace Science is 40% of the academic training. Leadership Education is another 40% of academic training and Physical Training and Wellness is the remaining 20%. The Aerospace Science curriculum includes the history of aviation, principles of flight, meteorology, navigation, flight physiology, and exploration of space. The Leadership Education curriculum includes the military training of uniform wear, drill, customs and courtesies; it also includes stress management, leadership styles, communication skills, and financial management. Multiple opportunities are provided to enrich the curriculum, including drill teams, field trips, parades, color guards, and special summer programs.

 

Anime Club

At meetings, we will discuss our favorite anime/manga titles and occasionally have special events. 

 

Beta Club 

Promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national nonprofit student organization that helps youth develop leadership and workplace skills to prepare for both college and careers through peer-to-peer education, community engagement, and the application of skills learned in the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) classroom.

 

FFA

The letters “FFA” stand for Future Farmers of America. These letters are a part of our history and our heritage that will never change. But FFA is not just for students who want to be production farmers; FFA also welcomes members who aspire to careers as teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners and more

World Language Club

The World Language Club celebrates all MHES students who are on a learning journey to obtain a new language. Whether it be Spanish, French, German, ASL, or English as a Second Language, our club takes learning out of the classroom and brings it to a social level where students can participate in events that allow us to practice the language we currently have and the language we are learning.  We are a club dedicated towards building respect for all world cultures through the power of language and cultural understanding.  

 

Student Council

The Student Council program empowers and equips your students with the knowledge and skills to be transformative leaders in your school, community, and beyond. In addition, it provides a necessary bridge between students and school leaders—helping you to engage and hear what students think, feel, and need.

 

D & D Club

D&D Club plays the tabletop role-playing game "Dungeons & Dragons," supervised and led by staff members. D&D is a classic and popular game primarily set in a medieval fantasy setting that allows players to step into the roles of heroes changing the world for the better. 

 

SAFE Club - Students Advocating for Equality

The purpose of SAFE is to provide a safe haven for LGBTQIA+ students and their allies, in which they can discuss shared interests & be themselves without fear of discrimination.
